Ciconia is scheduled to be four games in total, and the second one should release sometime in late 2020. The first Ciconia game is available on Steam. The brand new entry in the When They Cry series, Ciconia, debuted in October 2019.

If you’re planning to import the game, check on the official site which shop has which bonus goods. As usual with Japanese games, most of these artwork focus on sexual fanservice, so don’t scroll down if you’d rather not see that. They’re included in the gallery further below. Lastly, Entergram published samples for the artwork used in shop-specific preorder bonuses of Umineko Saku. The author also announced a new game as part of the When They Cry series, but we don't even know the name yet.Zts, one of the multiple composers on 07th Expansion games, is really hyped about Golden Phantasia coming to PS4 and Switch: See more There is a detailed list of them somwhere on these forums^^ The last 4 arcs of Umineko are also referred to as "Chiru" and the last 4 arcs of Higurashi are also referred to as "Kai".įor Umineko they are going to release all 8 arcs and a fighting game called "Golden Fantasia", which you should (if you are interested) play after reading the entirety of Umineko, because it spoils a lot.įor Higurashi they are going to release all 8 arcs and a lot of side stories. LastNoak already told you about the structure of Umineko and it's kind of the same for Higurashi with 8 chapters (the first 5 of them are already released on Steam), the first 4 being "question arcs" and the last 4 being "answer arcs" instead of core arcs. Higurashi came out before Umineko, so if you should plan to read everything, you might want to start with Higurashi to understand references to it in Umineko. I highly recommend trying the 07th mod, which adds in the art, music, and even the voiceover from the Japanese PS3 release of the game. That means there are references to the games, but you don't need to play one to understand the other. A suggestion- Umineko is fantastic and has some of the strongest writing I've seen in a VN, but IMO the art and audio don't match up. Higurashi and Umineko are both part of the When They Cry series, although beeing very different with different characters in different worlds (although not entirely).

The remaining life in the old family head who has built up a vast fortune is very slim. You have been given a chance to catch a glimpse of the family conference held annually by the Ushiromiya family. I think I'll add to that some information about the 5 episodes of the When They Cry series that "The Bushman Cometh" mentioned. Welcome to the world of 'Umineko When They Cry' (When Seagulls Cry) Welcome to the Rokkenjima of October 4, 1986.

You can already buy them on another website and make use of a fanpatch (Witch Hunt Patch) to play the core arcs before the release on Steam! Just to clarify: Episodes 5 - 8 (the core arcs) are not "officially" released on Steam yet. I don`t regret watching that playthrough: I personally watched a playthrough of episode 5 - 8 on Youtube after realizing that the core arcs have not been released yet. They are probably going to get released soon though. The next 4 episodes are called "core arcs", but those are not available on Steam yet. The first 4 episodes are called "question arcs" and these are available here on Steam (you just have to buy this game ^^): The Umineko no naku koro ni series consists of 8 episodes a ~13h (they have to be played in the correct order - naturally)
